Maja (Maja Berełkowska) is a university student who became pregnant at very young age. Fearing the inevitable scandal, Maja’s mother Ewa (Anna Polony) raised the baby as her own. Now Maja’s maternal instincts are emerging, and she accuses her mother of taking her child away. Ewa believes that she in fact saved Maja from serious trouble and gave her granddaughter a stable and affluent childhood. Maja’s mother has also grown attached to the child, and has no intention of giving her up. Maja resolves to abduct her daughter and leave the country.
