Decalogue Six

Nineteen-year-old Tomek (Olaf Lubaszenko) moves into a room in an apartment building, and learns from the previous tenant, a friend of his, that his window offers a good view of a flat in the next building, where a beautiful woman (Grażyna Szapołowska) lives. He observes Magda through a pair of binoculars, and later a stolen telescope, gradually becoming infatuated with her. The love-starved orphan’s fascination with the attractive stranger quickly leads to a deeper emotional desire. Tomek finally works up the courage to express his love for Magda.
